SWND Records is pleased and proud to announce the label debut of its first American signing, The BuGs, formed in 2012, are based out of Salem, Massachusetts, and have in their nearly ten years active established a strong presence, with extensive radio support for their albums.
Members include brothers Mark Anthony Celani (vocals, piano, drums, guitar) Barry Celani (bass) and life-long friend Paul Susi (lead, rhythm guitars). They’re debut record “The BuGs” was released in 2013. After numerous shows around the Northeast, the band hit a bump with the exit of original drummer Jonathan Karas. The band took the opportunity to work on side projects and studio session work with various artists.
The BuGs re-emerged with M.A.C behind the drum kit and produced the album “Taste of White” released in 2021. The record features the singles “Anything Goes” and “One So Sweet” both of which can be heard on various radio stations across the globe.
From Hard Rock to Pop with notes of R&B and hints of World Music, The BuGs are extremely versatile and cast a huge net to catch listeners.
The Crawling Eye is the side project of Ten No.6 guitarist and songwriter Matthew Witherstone. Matthew was a member of 90’s indie band Interzone who recorded the EP ‘Stay A While’ for Double Dragon Records. After this band folded, he took a long break from music before forming Ten No.6 in 2018. During rehearsals for this band, it became apparent that he had several songs that weren’t particularly suited to that project, so decided to record them with various collaborators. Out of these sessions the ideas for ‘Wax Lyrical’ were formed. Not wanting to particularly conform to any genre (although undoubtedly influenced by 60s, 70s, and 80s singer songwriter, guitar bands, folk rock, and punk) the basic concept was to write and develop anything that felt genuine, drawing on varied influences and recounting real experiences. The line-up for this project consists of Simon Thomas on vocals, Matthew Witherstone giving guitars, bass, harmonica, melodica and backing vocals, with drums and keyboards provided by producer Frank Naughton, and Sean Davies on board to provide extra bass and backing vocals. The album was recorded in Ty Drwg studios, Grangetown, UK. Produced and mixed by Frank Naughton.
Award winning singer/songwriter Barrie Dempsey plays more than just electric and acoustic guitar. His musical talents also include flute, harmonica, piano, lead and harmony vocals. Barrie grew up in New Jersey. After high school he enrolled in School of Visual Arts, New York City to study fine art. Actively pursuing music through high school and art school, he was lead singer, harmonica and flute player in many rock and blues style bands. Big songwriting influences were John Prine, J.J. Cale, Jackson Browne and James Taylor among others. Barrie learned to play blues harmonica listening and playing along with John Lee Hooker and John Mayall records for hours on end. Barrie Dempsey eventually moved to California and was a member of the Amber Band. Working with songwriter Eddie Cunningham, they did covers and originals and recorded a documentary of the band with all original works for San Diego State University-PBS that won an award in 1980. Amber Band was the house band at the Bull and Bear in ElCajon, Ca. for more than a year with a strong following. In 2005 Barrie started writing his own songs. Currently Barrie has put together a collection of originals on his EP’s titled “Barrie Dempsey” and “Line In The Sand”, which has been awarded Best Album Folk/Singer-Songwriter at The Akademia. Produced by Track Star Studios in La Mesa, CA. In 2017 he won the Bose Sound Professional & Music Connection Magazine, Best of Las Vegas: Solo Artist”. In Fall of 2021 he released two new EP’s “When We Were Young” and “Kiss Me For Christmas”. He is currently working on his next CD.
Marcus Casburn is an accomplished singer and piano player. He began his musical journey singing in church and became highly involved in high school choir and band. As a senior, Marcus was honored to be selected as a member of the Texas All State Choir. After graduation he attended Texas Wesleyan University on a full scholarship as a Music Major. Marcus toured the country with a number of successful Texas bands, including “Top Secret”, “Prime Time” and most notably “The Casburn Brothers Band”, a joint venture with his cousin Terry Casburn. Terry went on to become a key member of the nationally known East Texas Band “Mason Dixon” and Marcus … went to Vegas! Shortly after arriving in Las Vegas he was hired by Wayne Newton to be a featured vocalist, keyboard player and announcer. While performing with Mr. Newton and some of the best musicians in the world, Marcus had the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally and performed on the “Arsenio Hall Show”, “Nashville Now” and “The Grand Ole Opry”. In the years that followed Marcus performed with many national artist including Collin Raye, Linda Davis, Bryan White, Gary Morris and B.J.Thomas, to mention a few. With his Deep Smokey voice and versatile keyboard accompaniment style, Marcus will entertain you and your patrons in a first class professional manner. In addition to his musical performance career, Marcus was a jingle singer in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area. Shortly after moving to Las Vegas in the early 90’s, Marcus was encouraged to do voice-over sessions at several local production companies. Subsequently, he was pursued to join the roster of an International Production Company that was opening a new branch studio in Las Vegas. He accepted. During the following years, Marcus has honed his skills, performing over a thousand commercials, narrations and corporate videos. His voice has been described as the gentle giant or the voice of God. Coming to the voice acting business via the vocal music industry, he has a broad range of tone, timber and texture available for use in a variety of styles, accents, attitudes and characters. He also sings in all of these styles. His voice characters are truly authentic. From Deep, Smooth and Sexy to Rough, Raspy and Rowdy, Happy Jamaican Mon to the Guy Next Door, Marcus will bring your projects’ characters to life in a relaxed, creative and professional manner.
James Martinez has been a musician for nearly 2 decades. He started out playing the guitar as a hobby but it quickly became a passion. After a long battle with addiction his musical goals changed. Before, he wrote songs that lacked purpose. Now he writes music that he believes will help others get through similar struggles in life to the ones that he’s faced.

The Flying Cruisers is a band with a distinctive sound, which blurs the lines between heavy alternative rock and other styles. In fact, the group’s music blurs the lines between a wide range of influences, while still retaining a direct and decisive sound with teeth and sharp claws. From the immediacy of blues-rock, to the melodic appeal of some of the best old-school hard rock, anything goes. The band strikes for its cohesive sound, and the music stands out due to the fact that the performance feels human and warm, as opposed to an overproduced studio concoction.

BIG DAY is a collection of songs written during the experience that was 2020 and recorded in 2021, at Sonic One Studios. Capturing the retro sound of the 70’s, ‘Big Day’s songs examine our lives to date, colourful experiences lived through, and the place we call home. With a tinge of country-rock, the creative side of the band is based on a lifetime of gigging in pubs, clubs, and venues all over the U.K. Story-telling songs rooted firmly in Welsh culture and Welsh social history summon up real characters from their hometown and live create a powerful stage presence. Pollytunnel Pirates’ sound has been compared to the likes of Slade, Man, Stereophonics and The Eagles. After years and years of writing songs, but never having the opportunity to take them beyond home recorded demos, Keryn Isaac felt it was time to call upon some musicians from the South Wales music scene and start taking things seriously. The resulting album, ‘Years in the Making’, proves just how serious a talent Keryn Isaac is. Created over 2020 and ’21, at Channel View and Redrocks recording studios, comprising 10 songs of punk rock, some of which were written over 15 years ago, ‘Years in the Making’ is a powerful commercial coming of age for Keryn, showcasing his gift for mashing influences including Green Day, Metallica, Blink 182, Rancid, The Offspring and The Clash, Nirvana, Sum 41 and many, many more.Now with a firm lineup featuring Archie Holland and Ashley Turner have joined ZacTheLocust, and with gigs lined up starting with a debut at The Swansea Fringe Festival in October, Zacthelocust’s big choruses and melody are poised to take those demos all the way.
