  • Belle Vex

Rising talent Belle Vex drops uplifting pop number “Us,” driven by acoustic guitars and his airy vocal lines touched by hazy beats to round it off. With an empowering message that encourages us to be our own biggest cheerleader in good times and bad, the track has been six years in the making. A gentle yet catchy number that comes straight from Belle’s heart and a track he described as one he “cares way too much about,” the end result is a stripped back yet layered pop offering laden with warmth. Speaking of the track, Belle said, “Us is about being the support system when no one else would. This includes being there for yourself. My favourite song to date.” As someone who has consistently been self-reliant through the ups and downs of his career, “Us,” could very well be a soundtrack to Belle’s own journey. From his first record passing by without notice several years ago, slowly and steadily building a fanbase for his laid-back but rebellious style of pop to parting ways with his former representatives leading to the erasure of most his carefully sculpted craft. Later diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia, which made it near impossible to record vocals, Belle Vex has always allowed himself to be led by his passion for music. Having been on an inspiring journey – one in which he became his own strength and support, the promising talent has shown his ability to live by the message he’s putting on his latest track. Now, with life and creativity back under his control, Belle Vex is in his own home studio working on his most ambitious project to date, giving his listeners much to look forward to. • Katye Kellye and The Interruption

Katye Kellye (Kat-cha Kel-lee) is very, very tired of Autocorrect trying to change her name. Her band, The Interruption, was until recently composed solely of amazing studio professionals who have worked with bands you’ve actually heard of. Ms. Kellye has assembled a band with musicians who need to be heard from. She has been a singer and songwriter for a relatively short time (in geologic terms) or a very large number of dog years. Ms. Kellye writes incisive, pointed, bad-assed songs of experience that are probably not about you. (Although if you think they are, maybe you need to think about why that might be.) Also love songs tinged with levity that you wish were about you. Katye was the lead singer of Toxic Shox, her first offering in about 35 years was the 2019 EP, Vanity Project, available on most streaming services (all links linktr.ee/katyekellyeandtheinterruption) Her sound blends her downtown punk roots with hints of classic arena rock, “Wall of Sound” girl groups, and opera. Their first full-length album, “Late Bloomer” was released January 17, 2020, and since then have been followed by several singles and their second full album, “Sophomore Slump” on February 26, 2021. They are all available from Quinterruption Music on all major streaming services, Amazon and Apple Music. Several music videos are in production and the band will be promoting the album live in selected venues as the world reopens safely. Watch for announcements, and join our mailing list to hear about where!

  • Redeemed Punk

The founder of Redeemed Punk (RP), Wayne Lewis, founded the band after several years of performing in a comedic “Trailer Park Punk” band. Influences range from “The Birds”, “MC 5,” “The Ramones,” and even Bill Monroe. He spent 26 years in the military as an RP playing music on deployments, back porches, clubs, and bars when there was spare time. After lots of reflection on how music can influence people’s emotions a different writing style came about. Hearing Teeny-bop pop faith-based music helped us decide that there is a need for faith-based music “For Grown-ups That Still Like to Rock!!!”. In Redeemed Punk this RP has a new story to tell.

  • Billy Inglish

Billy Inglish is a veteran of the South African music scene. Having cut his teeth on the “Garage Band” circuit in his early music career his first real break came when he was introduced to Verny Scholtz, former founder member of global rock band Just Jinger by EMI records. At the time EMI suggested they start writing & producing together. During a prolific writing spell over a 3-month period, the recording of the first album was born, featuring the now hit songs “Time Travel”, “Free To Be Me”, “I Feel Fine” and “Back To You”. Billy and Verny then formed a band with remaining members, world renowned drummer Bruce Wallace and top bassist Jasper van Rensburg. Now known as ‘The Slickers’, they were signed to Sovereign Records, managed by industry stalwart Kerry-Anne Allerston joining a stable of well-established South African acts ‘The Parlotones’, ‘Prime Circle’, ‘CrashCarBurn’ and ‘Wonderboom’. The band was then primed to take off. As their stock started to rise and bands will be bands, internal politics led to ‘The Slickers’ breaking up. Billy decided to retire from music, all this before the album was even released.Subsequently it never was, leaving the album and all the songs to sit in a “time capsule” hard drive for the 13 years. In 2021 Billy and Kerry-Anne reconnected with the idea of releasing the songs for the first time. Verny agreed and the rest they say is history with the first 3 Billy Inglishsingles catapulting to the no 1 spot on the South African charts, which was followed by a global record deal being signed with prominent label Just Music. Billy Inglish now plays the circuit once again with the full original line up. As the first album is slowly being released single by single, Billy is currently working on the second album in his native United Kingdom. If you’re a fan of ‘The Beatles’, ‘Blur’, ‘Oasis’ & ‘ELO’, you may just fall in love with Billy’s sound!
