  • The Gillies music

The Gillies are an Americana, Folk singer/songwriter duo from SE London. Their music tells of love, loss, bittersweet and harsh realities, the distinctive sound of their acoustic guitars create an intense lonesome dark musical style.Susan Turner sings and plays her tenor guitar from Half Way, Minnosta and very occasionally tenor banjo and has been co-writing with Mark (Gilly) Evans, J45 and Dobro for 10 years.
Divide and Conquer explains “The two combine their bare bones guitar work to paint these sprawling landscapes of emotion, experience and nostalgia” ……… “The stories they tell are raw, no editing, no glorifying, just everything that memory can provide”
Masonry Nails, their third album has eleven orginal songs produced by award winning Phil Dearing and recorded at LSound London. As there was no gigs in 2020 to promote their new album , they did  The Eleven a virtual One Take Tour on Youtube. This Album takes on a different feel to their other acoustic albums, having a full band sound on some of the tracks. Mark adding Dobro and Lap steel and slidy things Susan piano on Dirt Rain, Zac Turner from the MSBand playing piano and co writing on some songs. Mr Dearing adding his touches of Hammond and electric guitar.
The album hangs on the ideas of masonry nails, whats left behind when things fall apart and what holds them together. Always the idea of a journey, slipping back to long time friendships in their home town and the need to escape from something wherever they are.
For their new album they decided to design and make up their cd covers from eco craft card getting them printed at a local printers, trying to use as little plastic as possible. • risen

Changing the world one song at a time

Risen consists of a band of believers in Jesus Christ, and want to share that message of hope, love, and redemption with the world. Started in early 2020 by lead guitarist Jammin, Chandler, and Hyperion, Risen quickly began to make a name for themselves with their own brand of in your face heavy metal. Soon after forming, they added Vocalist Aimee to the line up, along with bassist Jordan and drummer Steven. This is the current line up of Risen you see today. Combined with a very high energy rock and roll show, Risen believes that there’s more to music then just playing shows. Their main goal is to share the gospel of Christ to every fan they can, and to share the love and grace that they themselves have experienced. Catch them live on the road in 2021/22 in support of their debut record, A New Beginning.

  • Michael alder

My name is Mike Alder. I am originally from Kansas City, Missouri.Growing up in the 80’s I loved music from as far back as can be remembered. Always a fan of guitars it was evident I would eventually pick one up. After being in a couple of rap bands in the early 2000’s I started playing to create music even without producers. This opened up a lot of different music to my open mind. I fell in love with music by Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Guy, and some not so old artists like Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Sublime, Foo Fighters, The Roots, and Outkast. Born in the late 70’s I feel like I lived through an incredible era for music and wouldn’t trade it for the world. I moved to Portland Oregon in 2005 for work and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. I stopped making music shortly after moving here. I started focusing on photography and videography. I starting writing Poetry about Portland and a violinist friend of mine told me I needed to make original music again. I started putting my Portland poetry to music and saw that people were enjoying it. I will continue to write and try to bring joy to people through music. The song “When We Roll By” is the second installment from my Portland Poem series. Stay tuned for the third installment song and video.

  • JARNO Oivakumpu

Sydän Laulaa is Finnish and means “the heart sings”. A shaman told me once, that the only real way to sing is to sing from the heart. This is the idea on which Sydän Laulaa is built on. Some of my music is instrumental and it’s played from the heart. I started this as a solo project in 2020. Now there are also other people along. My intention from the beginning has been to create music that gives people relaxation, meditative state and spiritual wellbeing. The music comes from the heart. It has energy of the north, but elements also from different corners of the world. The song “the heart is dreaming” was born in a flow. I composed the theme one day and produced it the next day and that was it. It is one of my personal favourites of my own music and my most streamed song in SoundCloud.
