The Paper Heart is composed of four local musicians from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Our music is a mix of originals and covers, written and selected to cultivate a “feel good” energy. The music style switches from song to song and keeps you guessing, while certainly tapping your toes. The Paper Heart is the long-standing project of Topher Beyer. It all started in Topher’s later teen years, listening to his favorite bands and drawing inspiration where he could. He would jot down song ideas whenever they came and would form structures and lyrics based on whatever scribbled thoughts he would have. Today, The Paper Heart is primed to bring you songs you can sing to and dance to with each member bringing a unique blend of talent and inspiration.
The devil’s music (you know – rock, blues, R & B, jazz) took hold of the young lad when his father ( a renowned musician in his own right) watched in dismay, as his son took the violin he was trying to teach him and Greg held it like a rock guitar, struck the classic pose and tried to get “that sound”. Getting “that sound” has been Greg’s mission ever since. He started touring Ontario with his bands at age 17, and has played with numerous acts over the years. On the west coast now since 1975, his last major project was the Groove Grinders – a sharp classic rock and R & B act that played Vancouver clubs, pubs and parties for 7 years (2002-2008), wowing them everywhere. Greg has been on the Sunshine Coast since 2008, and was fortunate to sit in with, and front some great musicians at many venues up and down the coast.

Heather is a Singer/Songwriter based in Columbus, OH. She spent 5 years in Sacramento, California, a time that ramped up her music career. “Painted In Distress” is a alternative/grunge rock band from a small town called Ashland, Ohio. They have been playing together since 2017 after meeting in high school. Now continuing his legacy exclusively as a solo artist, Scotty J has a busy and promising 2019 coming up and will be releasing 14 new singles over several months. The new songs are engineered and co-produced by Grammy award winner Clark Hagan (Chet Atkins, etc.).Scotty will also be performing a lineup of shows in Colorado and California in Summer 2019 in preparation and promotion of the upcoming record. The vast canvas of the desert, genre defying soundscapes, and cinematic vignettes inspire Mojave Grey’s barrier breaking mood during our unprecedented times.
