Emerging from the elite San Diego and Denver music scenes, Rock/Americana/Blues/Country recording artist/songwriter, Scotty J, began hitting the ground running in the 90’s and since that time has manifested into a versatile and multifaceted artist with his own signature sound and stylization. Originally hailing from Los Angeles and known for his tasty, tone dripped, melodic bluesy guitar style, Scotty J over the years has been playing many roles as a developing artist. Ranging from taking on singing, songwriting, studio sessions, filling in for gigs, and audio engineering/producer for several artists and projects. He was awarded as “Top Musician” by Louie Bellson at the Lubbock Jazz Festival.His break through hit single “Come to Me” garnered regular airplay on several Denver/Boulder/internet radio stations including 99.5 The Mountain, Area 93.3 FM, KCUV 1510 AM, KVDU, and KCRV 88.9 FM. Since gracing the stage, Scotty J has had the opportunity to play prominent shows alongside or opened for notable artists including The Flobots, Jeff Skunk Baxter, String Cheese Incident, Otis Taylor, Al Green, John McEwen, G Love & Special Sauce, Harry Dean Stanton, Oakhurst, Gilby Clark, Ozomatli, Dave Wakelin, Gila Monsters, Stan Ridgeway, Davy Jones, Peter Noone, Tommy Ramone, Young Dubliners, and several others. You could have also found Scotty J the house band at the House of Blues LA Scotty J’s original band Cranium Lounge was honored to record with legendary David Devore (Grateful Dead-Fleetwood Mac) at the Complex in West Los Angeles. That same band was nominated as the “Top unsigned LA Band” for 3 consecutive years. Now continuing his legacy exclusively as a solo artist, Scotty J has a busy and promising 2019 coming up and will be releasing 14 new singles over several months. The new songs are engineered and co-produced by Grammy award winner Clark Hagan (Chet Atkins, etc.).Scotty will also be performing a lineup of shows in Colorado and California in Summer 2019 in preparation and promotion of the upcoming record.
