  • Maddy O’Neal

Real Dirty Funky Bass Music but make it pretty. The vibe and soul of the Maddy O’Neal project combines soundscapes from all across the spectrum of genres…Rich in texture and atmosphere, her roots in funk and soul shine through in a bed of low end frequencies making for a unique environment for future bass and synth design to tie it all together. Hailing from Denver, Colorado you can hear the direct electro soul inspiration sprinkled in her productions but she has managed to carve out her own unique lane within the bass community. • No, This is Patrick

No, This Is Patrick! is a “heavy pop punk” band based out of Nashville TN. Originally formed in 2015 by guitarists Sean Naples and Matt Issacs, the lineup didn’t take its true shape until 2018. With a few line up changes the core members have now found their true brothers in arms with Vocalist Andrew Dorn, Bassist Ben McAnelly and Drummer Truman House. Their self-titled debut album was a very pop punk/easycore jamfest, but it was primarily based on things that Sean and Matt had written during those unstable first years, so they knew they wanted to expand with the new solid lineup of insanely talented musicians. The band set about writing a second album, and were promptly stopped in their tracks by the pandemic. Over the past 2+ years they have been doing everything in their power to put this record together in whatever ways are possible. Now it’s finally ready to start being revealed to the world and it is something very special. Primarily a pop punk band, NTIP don’t sound like anyone else in their genre. This record especially utilises sounds and influences across many different genres. These first two singles, “Good Times” and “Shedding Light” are great examples of the diversity of the record. The album is about the many facets of life, finding the strength to carry on in dark times, especially ones with no end in sight, and the music reflects these themes. With expressions of anger, frustration, and despair NTIP always realigns with hope and determination. With the songs representing so much about the five of them, No, This is Patrick! connect with their fans on a deep level. Communicating honestly through their music about their struggles, their worries and the things that they care about.

  • Aliza Hava

Award-winning singer-songwriter Aliza Hava leads us on a deeply personal journey on soulful new single “Emotion Tide,” which delves into the pain and healing of letting yourself fully feel and express the heavy grief of a broken relationship. With an intricate genre-blended instrumentation that weaves the warm sultriness of Spanish guitars into the lush sensibilities of electric and acoustic guitars as well as synths, punctuated by rhythmic beats, the track is led by Aliza’s ethereal vocals which capture cathartic message that sees emerge stronger after a difficult time. A fan favourite track that’s resonated with audiences every time it was performed live, the recording “Emotion Tide,” has been imminent, as she finally shares the emotive yet uplifting number alongside a music video – to be released on September 15 – produced and directed by Matthew Freiheit in Los Angeles. Speaking of the track, Aliza says, “We all know that people often hold back their tears in an effort to be strong. But true healing can only happen when we allow those tears to fall and cleanse us of the grief of a broken heart.” Recorded at Dreamland Studios, the state-of-the-art analog recording studio managed by the legendary drummer, Jerry Marotta, “Emotion Tide,” is the first snippet of a forthcoming album on themes of healing and recovery. A self-taught musician who turned to music seeking solace from a difficult childhood, Aliza Hava’s smooth fusion of folk, rock, pop, and R&B brims with messages of peace and universal love, offering us empowerment and comfort in equal amounts. Born out of a period in 2021 when the singer was laid up with a severe neck injury,”Emotion Tide,” is a true representation of the power of music that Aliza has always tried to highlight in her artistry. Set to bring several more intimate yet deeply relatable stories of transforming pain into power, there’s a lot more to come from Aliza who pulls trauma apart to replace it with triumph with her enlightening, earworm musicality. • Eric & The Soo

Although based in Toronto, Eric Brombacher’s pride in his northern Ontario upbringing is on full display with his band Eric & The Soo and their debut album, Small Town Dreamer. It’s the kind of record that immediately hearkens back to when albums were made without the help of computers, and were intended to be listened to from beginning to end. It is the sound of real people, playing real instruments, singing about real experiences. It all falls under the umbrella of classic Canadiana—the seamless blending of vintage country, folk and blues that artists like The Band and Neil Young synthesized nearly a half-century ago. In the hands of Eric & The Soo, it provides the perfect backdrop for Small Town Dreamer’s lyrical snapshots of the present (“Slices Of Life”) and the ever- present past (“Twenty-Two”). Yet, for all of the album’s references to change, Brombacher at no time expresses regret. Instead, he sings with the voice of someone who has waited far too long for this opportunity. Despite playing guitar since his late teens, Brombacher didn’t seriously take to the stage until ten years later, joining and forming a variety of cover bands and garage rock bands that eventually released a modest output of original material. It wasn’t until Brombacher’s friend, the acclaimed Toronto singer/songwriter Jerry Leger, invited him to be a part of his side project, the Del-Fi’s, that Brombacher ultimately found the inspiration to put together his own group in 2015. Eric & The Soo ultimately came together in time for the band’s live debut in January 2016, and have remained a flexible unit built around drummer Dino Naccarato, guitarist/keyboardist Craig Robertson and harmonica player Ken Yoshioka. The band also includes Jerry Leger himself, along with three of his regular collaborators, bassist Dan Mock, multi-instrumentalist James McKie and mandolin player Matt Cooke. This was the crew that laid down 14 songs in two days at engineer Aaron Comeau’s Toronto studio “The Trailer” two months after that first gig, capturing the raw enthusiasm all of the players were feeling for the project. With the release of Small Town Dreamer capping off a whirlwind two years for Brombacher, he can finally concentrate on the future. And with that will surely come making Eric & The Soo a part of the national roots rock conversation.

  • Ainsley Costello

In a world dominated by overnight internet sensations and one-hit-wonders, emerging star Ainsley Costello has her eyes set on creating a legacy that stands the test of time. Delicately delivered yet powerfully profound, Costello’s heartfelt and personal approach to lyricism translates into a seraphic, easily digestible, and heartwarming listening experience. At only 15, the Seattle native now based in Nashville released a strikingly diverse debut album titled ‘You Know I Am’ – on the surface, a collection of country pop songs but dig deeper and you’ll unravel a multitude of diverse influences that speak to the insecurities of today’s teen. In February 2020, Ainsley and her family relocated to Nashville. Throughout quarantine, Ainsley used this time to continue to write new material, releasing a song each month during her ‘Quarantine Singles’. Additionally, this provided an opportunity to meet and network with songwriters throughout Nashville and around the world.Ironically, after moving to Nashville (the country music capital of the world) in 2020, Ainsley pivoted towards a more pop-rock vibe through Nashville rock influences such as Paramore and Kings of Leon. During quarantine, she wrote with dozens of Nashville Row writers to pull together the equivalent of her second album. Released as singles every month throughout 2021 her sound has evolved. Ainlsey has clearly managed to take a strain of LA pop and bring it down south, turning heads and amassing a dedicated fanbase in the process.Ainsley cut her teeth performing in a variety of school talent shows and musical theater productions from the age of 7, and has since gone on to study piano, guitar, vocal performance, and songwriting. At just 15, Ainsley began taking classes at the prestigious Berklee College of Music while simultaneously working on her high-school finals. She graduated from high school at 16 and was accepted to the Berklee College of Music’s Business Degree program. She is now finishing up her sophomore year of college at Berklee, and still only 17.At a very young age, Ainsley has begun performing live with a full band of adult professional-level musicians and regularly holding down a 3-hour set of cover songs and originals at just 14. Prior to COVID-19, Ainsley impressively performed over 130 shows in 10 states. Notable performances included shows at NAMM 2019-2020 and Americana Fest 2019, and she was also involved with both The Voice and American Idol when she was just 13. At 14, Ainsley became one of Breedlove Guitars youngest endorsed artists and has also since been endorsed by Mackie Audio. Next up for Ainsley Costello is the release of her 24th all time single, “TYPE”. Described by some as a pivot to “pretty punk” Type echoes No Doubt and Paramore in this catchy, fun and upbeat song that pokes fun at the cliché “I don’t like the type… they type likes me.”You can learn more about Ainsley at ainsleycostello.com.

  • Stacie Collins

‘Darlin’ Why?’ is the first single off the long awaited DAMN GIRL! album from Nashville roots rocker Stacie Collins. Sporting a slam-bang rock ‘n’ roll band and a hard-core honky- tonk wail, Stacie Collins pushes the boundaries of rock, blues and country. A singer-songwriter and a bad-ass harmonica player in the style of Chicago Blues greats Little Walter and James Cotton, Collins has garnered a reputation for her high energy shows, diverse songwriting and unlike most chick-singers, they are not all about love and heartbreak. Based in Nashville, TN, Stacie is a road warrior having performed countless shows in the USA and Europe over the past few years and has even spawned a Japanese “Stacie Collins” tribute band. In addition to touring, Collins, along with her writing partner, husband, band mate Al Collins (Jason & The Scorchers) have written, recorded and released five records on her own label.
